It’s that time of year—we’re heading back to Italy! I’ve been waiting for the green light to announce this, and that day has finally come. I’m thrilled to share that my CFP for ServerlessDays Milan 2025 has been accepted. I was planning to attend anyway, but this adds a whole new dimension to the trip.
I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the organizers. I feel both honored and excited to have the chance to speak at such a prestigious event, and Ill do my best to live up to that trust.
Last year, I attended as a visitor, and it was a fantastic experience. I had the chance to spend time with friends and colleagues, meet some familiar faces from the community, dive into all things serverless (and rant a bit for no reason), and, of course, enjoy plenty of pizza.

It's actually my colleague Vincenzo Marcella, one of the organizers. He was part of the amazing team of hosts that made this event possible, and I have nothing but praise for the flawless organization.
Beyond the excellent organization, the conference itself featured a truly impressive lineup. Jeremy Daly, Eric Johnson, and many other AWS heroes (and villains) could be spotted among the speakers and attendees.

The official agenda has just been announced! This year’s keynote speakers will be Yan Cui and James Eastham—already two fantastic reasons to attend. And with a lineup that truly offers a little bit of something for everyone, ServerlessDays Milan 2025 is shaping up to be an event you should not miss if you get a chance to attend.
As for my session, the title is "Living in Harmony with the Data: CDC to Flink on MSK with Aurora and S3 Iceberg." I'll be speaking for about 30 minutes, followed by a live demo and the usual Q&A session. Think of it as a natural extension, or a sequel, if you like to call it that way, to the talk I will be giving at AWS Community Day Adria 2025 in Sarajevo. I will cover a lot of exciting ground, including how to evolve live schemas in real time without breaking downstream applications or API contracts.
